SWAU's Psychology Program is a unique undergraduate program because it offers a valuable internship opportunity. The program has teamed up with local groups and agencies to offer placement in real-world settings. Most positions are unique in that they are paid opportunities. A large portion of our interns elect to work with autistic children utilizing ABA techniques. The skills learned in these positions are highly marketable after graduation. Most sites also provide supervision by licensed supervisors. Students must go through an application process which requires the applicant to be a declared Junior or Senior Psychology Major, have a minimum 2.8 GPA in core classes, and be recommended by the psychology department faculty.
